Fundraising campaign for Ukraine (-20 in Kyiv now)

It will be −20°C in Kyiv in the coming days, and right now there is no electricity, heat or water. Contrary to our usual work helping refugees in the Netherlands, we are launching an urgent fundraiser to provide emergency aid to people in Kyiv.

Our friend and fellow activist Daniil Simanov (co-founder of Stichting Zeilen van Vrijheid) has initiated and is personally coordinating the campaign, with the goal of purchasing EcoFlow battery systems (available at almost half price) and, if possible, several generators within the next 48 hours. After that, the bus will be sent urgently to Kyiv — Daniil will probably go there himself.

The goal is very ambitious and challenging: €30,000 in two days. But such amounts have already been raised before — and now it is really a matter of urgent assistance.

One system will be deployed at a volunteer warehouse in Kyiv. The rest of the systems will go to orphanages and nursing homes, where there is personal contact and confidence that the aid will reach its destination.

Important: we know Danya personally and trust him. There will be a report for every euro spent, detailing purchases and the delivery of aid.
