This January, we will co-host a warm and welcoming community gathering together with LGBT World Beside, dedicated to celebrating the Old New Year — a tradition that brings people together after the winter holidays to reconnect, reflect, and start the year with care and intention.
📍 When: 18 January 2026, 3:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
📍 Where: Amsterdam (location will be provided after registration)
The event will take place in Amsterdam in a safe and friendly setting and is open to members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
For many people, especially those who have recently relocated or experienced forced displacement, gatherings like this are more than just a celebration — they are an important opportunity to feel supported, connected, and at home in a new place.
During the afternoon and evening, participants will have time to meet new people, talk, share food, and exchange stories and plans for the year ahead. The atmosphere is intended to be relaxed and inclusive, creating space for genuine connection and mutual support.
Soyka NL is glad to co-organise this event as part of our broader work on community building through culture, dialogue, and shared experiences. Creating spaces where people can meet safely and openly is an essential part of strengthening communities and supporting well-being.
We thank 🌈 LGBT World Beside for the collaboration and warmly invite everyone interested to join us.

With love,
